Throughout my life people have sought me out as a sounding board for solving problems and I’ve always enjoyed helping them. In 2011 I decided I wanted to make it my living, so I trained and qualified as a performance coach. In 2015 I left my organisation (where I coached on top of my day job) and ended a 13 year career as a public servant to pursue my dream of helping people learn and develop.
I’ve been providing career and performance coaching to private individuals and in organisations ever since. I’ve also worked as a leadership and management trainer and facilitator, and I continue to do occasional work as an employee engagement consultant and copywriter which I find compliments the coaching.
In addition to having a Diploma in Coaching I have a Level 3 Certificate in Learning & Development from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and am trained in neuro-linguistic programming. I'm experienced in leading people outdoors, and have undertaken Mountain Walk Leader Training (so if you want wild camping as part of a retreat you'll be in safe hands).
Outside of work I enjoy outdoor swimming, kayaking, walking, running, cycling, fishing and photography, and I'm a keen reader, cook, and gardener. I’ve a deep interest in wellbeing since it's helped me enormously in life.
Sleeping under the stars is a great way to put life in perspective (and I'll happily arrange it for you).
My Raison d’etre
Headspace Coaching is my mission to use all my abilities to help people achieve what they want and navigate the challenges of life. Offering people the opportunity to draw on all my knowledge and skills in the healthy environment of Penwithe and Falmouth has been my ambition since I returned to my home town in 2021, after 20 years living in Bristol.
The benefit of being in a natural, healthy, environment when you need to think or work on something important is increasingly supported by scientific research. While the coaching retreats are designed for professionals anybody can benefit from them, which is why I've tried to make them as affordable as possible, mindful of the times we are living in.
